How to block a YouTube channel so you stop seeing it

Short answer

YouTube’s “Don’t recommend channel” only affects your Home and Up next recommendations; the channel still turns up in search and in your subscriptions. Quiet Pro’s channel blocklist hides a channel’s videos in the feed, in search results and in Up next.

On YouTube

  1. 1Find a video from the channel and open its three-dot menu.
  2. 2Choose Don’t recommend channel.
  3. 3YouTube stops suggesting that channel on Home and Up next.

The catch: It tunes recommendations only. The channel still appears in search results and, if you subscribe, in your subscriptions.

With Quiet Pro

Add a channel to the blocklist and its videos are hidden in the feed, in search results and in Up next, and its own card is removed from search. Keyword filters do the same for videos by title.

The channel blocklist and keyword filters are part of Quiet Pro, with a 7-day free trial. The hiding switches in the free extension work without it.

Add to ChromeFree to install. This feature is part of Quiet Pro.
