How to hide YouTube recommendations and the homepage feed
Short answer
Pausing your YouTube watch history turns the homepage feed off, but recommendations beside every video remain, and YouTube stops remembering what you’ve watched. Quiet hides the feed, the recommended videos and the end-screen suggestions, and leaves search, subscriptions and history working.
On YouTube
- 1Go to myactivity.google.com/product/youtube.
- 2Under YouTube History, choose Turn off.
- 3With little history left, YouTube stops showing a homepage feed.
The catch: Recommendations beside each video still appear, and you lose your watch history.
